Advanced Open Water
Proceed to the next level and experience real-life adventures with the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course. By advancing beyond the PADI Open Water Diver certification level, you will perform five dives and have the opportunity to experience some of the most enjoyable and useful diving activities such as deep diving, digital underwater photography, wreck diving and many more. These skills make diving much more than an underwater ride. In addition, the Advanced Open Water Diver course will take you one step closer to the Master Scuba Diver level - the highest non-professional certification level for recreational diving.
With the PADI instructor, you will perform deep adventure and underwater navigation dives. These dives are a reliable injection as you begin to master these fundamental skills. Then you will choose three additional dives, among more than 15 adventure dives, to complete the course. You can dive at night, visit local wrecks or even whiz through the ocean in a diversion vehicle - all during the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course.
Advanced Diving Course Details
- PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization) must be at least 15 years of age (12 for Junior Advanced Open Water Diver).
- Number of dives: five.
- These are the options of adventure diving: altitude diving, AWARE - fish identification, embarkation, deep diving, use of a diversion vehicle, diving in chains, diving with dry clothes, multilevel and computerized diving, night diving, maximum performance in flotation, search and recovery, underwater nature study, underwater navigation, underwater photography, underwater videography and wreck diving.
- Each adventure dive of the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course can be used as credit for the first dive of PADI's corresponding specialty diver course.
